Carmen Prins is a Queer eco-artist, poet, radio presenter, mental health advocate, and human rights activist. After leaving an 18-year career in corporate banking, she turned to storytelling, photography, and art as tools for healing and transformation.

Through The Lavender Lounge Reloaded, Carmen weaves together her passion for mental health, queer liberation, and environmental justice. A Diana Ferrus Book Prize finalist, she uses her platform to amplify LGBTQIA+ voices, challenge societal norms, and centre empathy, creative resistance, and joy.

When she’s not on air, Carmen is connecting queer artists and changemakers, volunteering in community initiatives, and reminding us through every word, beat and breath, that we are not alone.
