Sunday — a day for rest and reflection, but never without starting in worship and thanksgiving to our Heavenly Father, who made this entire journey possible.
We joined in fellowship at the AFM Church Aloe Ridge in Riversdale, and wow, oh wow — what a warm and welcoming reception we received upon arrival! The word for the day struck straight to the heart — perfectly timed and deeply needed.

After church, the Sunday spirit continued with a hearty, homecooked meal prepared by none other than Aunty Henna from Henna’s Catering. Each of us found a personal favourite (or two!) on our plates — pure comfort food that tasted like love and tradition.
And what’s a Sunday afternoon without laughter and lively banter? Especially when shared with loved ones. In this case, we had the absolute pleasure of meeting those near and dear to Afrikaap’s very own Sonskynkind, Elzette.
Before long, we found ourselves once again echoing the line from Friday night: “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.” Yes, there was even more laughter, inside jokes, and unforgettable moments shared that afternoon.

But as the day unfolded, time gently reminded us that all adventures must come to an end. The moment arrived to say our final goodbyes, share hugs, and exchange a few last laughs with our Hessequa family — friends who had become like family in just a few short days.
Each farewell carried with it a promise of return, because one thing was certain: this would not be the last time we visited the warm-hearted town of Riversdale.
As we packed up and headed back home, our hearts were full — full of gratitude, joy, and countless memories that will stay with us forever.
The drive back to Cape Town was quieter than the trip there — the music still played, but this time it carried the soft hum of memories. We looked back on a weekend filled with connection, culture, laughter, and purpose.
Until next time, Riversdale — thank you for the love, laughter, and hospitality. You’ve left an imprint on our hearts.
Day 3 reminded us that every ending is just the beginning of something new. Tour My Province isn’t just about travelling — it’s about discovering people, stories, and communities that remind us of the beauty within our own backyard.
